If you are new to the Christmas Tree Stand, welcome! If you are one of our MANY returning customers, hello again! We hope you and your families have been well these past two years. Thanks again to those at Holy Cross Lutheran, Town of Herndon, and HRI Associates. Not only is it our primary fundraiser, it is a 35+ year tradition for BSA Troop 157 to sell trees in the Town of Herndon. This year we welcome on board Trinity Presbyterian‘s (and our own offshoot) Scout Troop 1577, and our trees will be coming from Southern Virginia via Carolina Fraser Firs, one of the top growers in the US.
We are chartered under the Reston Lions Club, but we are physically based out of Herndon United Methodist Church, meeting there weekly, every Tuesday night at 7pm.
A Scout pays his own way. Scouts serve at the tree stand to pay for their BSA registration, camping fees, grub money, activity fees, etc. Did you know that over 95% of the troop’s funds come from this event alone? We take this opportunity very seriously and we take the health and safety of all involved very seriously as well.
