Black Friday November 26th-Christmas Eve*
*While supplies last
If you are new to the Christmas Tree Stand, welcome! If you are one of our MANY returning customers, hello again! We hope you and your families have been well this year. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ve had to move the 2021 Christmas Tree Sale entirely this year. Many, many thanks to those at Holy Cross Lutheran – Sam Carter, Pastor Martin, Theresa, Jeremy and Virginia to name a few I’ve dealt with, for agreeing to house us for the year. Not only is it our primary fundraiser, it is a 35+ year tradition for BSA Troop 157 to sell trees in the Town of Herndon.
I’d also like to give a shout out to the Wonderful people of Herndon who also volunteered their locations as possible venues for the sale: Joanna Ormesher of Arts Herndon, the lovely folks at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church on Van Buren, with a particular hat tip to Chris Brock, the lovely ladies of Herndon WinterMarkt, – Megan Ferguson and Aimee Lange, Rachel Rozner of Elden Street Tea Shop, and of course, and finally JL Madigan, Signe Friedrichs and Bethany Hannan for facilitating.
A Scout pays his own way. Scouts serve at the tree stand to pay for their BSA registration, camping fees and other Troop activities. Did you know that over 85% of the troop’s funds come from this event alone? We take this opportunity very seriously and we take the health and safety of all involved very seriously as well.
Thank you for supporting Herndon’s oldest BSA Scouting Unit, continuously in operation since 1934, Troop 157! We wish you a blessed holiday season!
